The Background

The retreat comprises of a spectacular mansion set in magnificent grounds. Manager Gaby Oxborrow wanted to reduce the significant bills for running such a large property and we recommended Unico and air source heat pumps for the heating with solar for the hot water.

The Solution

Unico was chosen for the provision of heating as the interior of the building was unspoilt and it was relatively easy to run a mini duct system invisibly without affecting the aesthetics and character of the property. Solar was the option for the hot water as the roof was south facing with good exposure to long hours of daylight.

The Benefits

The mansion used to take many hours to heat up with the old and cumbersome radiator system and now the effects of a high velocity warm air system are felt within minutes. Running costs have been significantly reduced for both the heating and the hot water demands and massive bills for oil are now a thing of the past.
